Hungry Hollow Trail is Now Complete!
This absolutely beautiful trail described as Hiker’s Haven is in Halton Hills. The old trail was between 8th and 9th Line, was 2.4 km and took about 35 mins to walk.
But I have an update! Hungry Hollow has been expanded and is now complete! Today you can walk 7km along this beautiful trail. Lauren, in Ontario Hiking, describes this new trail in detail and is worth the read.
Trust me, you’ll never get bored of this trail. In addition to the expansion, there are a lot of side trails to explore as well; particularly if you are looking for a longer hike. Here you will see boardwalks over small streams, and marsh. There is a bit of a hill in a couple of places but overall it’s considered a suitable hike for your family.
Birds you’ll see there include: Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Chickadees, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and a White-breasted Nuthatch and more.
Note: there is no port-o-let or washrooms onsite.
Parking is accessible on the street (Miller Drive) and is free.
