Let's Go Rollerskating !
Usually, I like to highlight a walking trail, but after the icy morning today, I decided on roller skating!
I’m going to bring you back to the ’80s and ’90s! So imagine the disco ball, music, skating and socializing. Roller skating was THE best birthday party idea when I was a teen. My friends share my enthusiasm. One of my very good friends still has her roller skates.
“I’ve got them in my closet,” she said, “the classic white boot and red wheels. Now that I know about Scooters, I can’t wait to take them out again.”
But whatever happened to all the roller skating places? Have inline skates meant that folks now rollerblade outdoors instead of inside with the music, flashing neon lights and disco balls? Could Scooters be one of the last relics of that era?
I looked around, and this was the ONLY indoor Roller Skating Place I could find nearby. I’m definitely going to check this out; my friends and I have decided to go in a couple of weeks.
