Get Ready for Carassauga: Canada’s Largest Multicultural Festival

Carassaga is Canada's Largest Festival of Cultures. It spans over 5 different locations in Mississauga and goes from May 26 to the 28th.

🇿🇦 Get Ready for Carassauga 🇨🇵

Last year I spoke to the organizer of Carassauga and she could not believe all the enthusiasm from many other countries to participate in this event. Carassauga has become Canada’s largest multicultural event. This year it spans over 5 different locations in Mississauga and goes from Friday May 26 to Sunday May 28.

 

Passports are $15.00 (Valid for Festival weekend) A passport entitles the visitor to unlimited visits to all the Cultural Pavilions with access to live performances, various foods and kids activities throughout the Festival weekend. Children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an Adult Passport holder. The passport also allows you FREE Ridership on all MiWay regularly scheduled bus routes and on special Carassauga buses connecting all the locations during the Festival’s operating hours.

There are many cultures represented in the 26 pavilions. You can immerse yourself in the music, cultural dances, and games from each pavilion. While enjoying the Ukrainian dancers, have some perogies! Visit India for a Bollywood movie while munching on samosas and gulab jamin. Try Vietnam for pho! And there is so much more! You have three days to see the world. I hope you get out and enjoy it.

Opening Ceremony – Friday 26 May from 7:30pm to 10pm (Doors open at 6:30pm) at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of Mississauga, 53 Queen St. North, Mississauga, St. Sava Serbian Centre (2520 Dixie Road) Please note, this facility is not wheelchair accessible

FREE transportation on All MiWay buses and Carassauga shuttle buses connecting to all the Locations.
