Where to Celebrate Canada Day in Halton and Mississauga

Halton and Mississauga will have amazing Canada Day events including music and fireworks!

🇨🇦 Canada Day eh!! 🇨🇦

Saturday 1 July will be bustling with activity no matter where you go. If you are energetic, why not do the Canada Day 5K at Spencer Smith Park? If you want music, many of the venues below will have entertainment. There are events you can bring your kids to and there’s even an event for adults only.

SEVEN LOCAL CANADA DAY EVENTS

Mississauga

1. 🇨🇦 Celebration Square

Mississauga is hosting a big Canada Day Celebration with live entertainment and a Camp Canuck with children’s activities and fireworks. Check this out!

Location: 300 City Centre Dr.

Date/Time: July 1st, 4pm to 10:30pm

The Breakdown: 

  • 4:00 pm: SaugaLive Stage, featuring the diverse sounds and styles of music in Canada and around the world.
  • 4:30 pm: Official Ceremony
  • 5:30 pm: Aqyila
  • 6:30 pm: MICO
  • 7:45 pm: Jamie Fine
  • 9:00 pm: Faouzia
  • 10:05pm: Fireworks! presented by Tim Horton’s

2. 🇨🇦 Streetsville

There are two locations for Streetsville’s Canada Day celebration. Streetville Village Square and the Memorial Park Stage (very close to the Village Square).

At Streetsville Village Square

  • 6pm – A live performance by Matt Zaddy
  • 8pm – The Lions official cake cutting ceremony
  • 9pm – A Pipes and Drums Performance, and
  • 9:15pm a Colour Party Flag Raising Ceremony & O’Canada

At Memorial Park Stage

  • 6pm – Live music
  • 8:45pm – Canada Roxx
  • 10pm – Fireworks

Oakville

3. 🇨🇦 Bronte Legion - 79 Jones St

Things open up here at noon and go to 11pm.

Food includes Zara’s by The Lake, Julia’s Authentic Italian, Cobs Bakery and Doras Ice Cream Truck.

Entertainment: 

  • 12:30pm – Fiddlestix
  • DJ Rick
  • 6:30pm – The Radio with Mel as Elvis

They will have outdoor bars and kids activities. There is no charge to attend.

4. 🇨🇦 Bronte Heritage Waterfront

Schedule of Events

  • 6 p.m. – Entertainment

  • 8 p.m. – a bag piper and drummer will welcome dignitaries followed by the national anthem performed by Arlene

  • 10 p.m. – Fireworks start (weather permitting).

Milton

5. 🇨🇦 Milton Fairgrounds

Milton’s festivities are happening at Milton Fairgrounds where their Fall Fair typically happens.

There’s no doubt about it, Milton is having a party! Check out their line-up of events!

  • 11:30 am – Salute to Veterans at Victoria Park
  • 2pm – Gates Open
  • Mascots till 6pm
  • Face Painting till 7pm
  • Inflatables, lawn games, arts & crafts, exotic animals, and Top Shot Interactive Games till 8pm
  • Beer tent, live entertainment and food vendors till 9:30pm
  • After Sunset – Fireworks Display

But wait! There’s a Tim Horton’s Main Stage with loads of entertainment happening from 2pm to 8:30pm.

Burlington

6. 🇨🇦 Spencer Smith Park

Burlington will be celebrating their 150th Anniversary and Canada on July 1st at Spencer Smith Park.

Events on July 1st

  • 8:30am – Canada Day Run (5K)
  • 4pm – Opening Canada Day Ceremonies 
  • Food and Marketplace vendors
  • 6pm – Special musical performances
  • 10pm – Fireworks

7.🇨🇦 Fireworks from the Rooftop

For something a little different, why not go to Joseph Brant Museum’s rooftop for food, drinks, live music and a “premier view of Burlington’s Canada Day Fireworks!”

  • 7:30pm – Giant lawn games and live music till 9:45
  • 10pm – Watch Burlington’s Canada Day Fireworks
