Need a Getaway?

The sun is shining, and all I’m thinking is, “It’s a beach day!”

So here’s one for you:

This one is 22 acres and is rated the most popular in Mississauga. I wrote about Jack Darling before when I described their massive leash-free area. (See Destination Dog Park). But this time, let’s talk about the beach!

Large rocks border Jack Darling’s lovely sandy beach. If you google “Jack Darling and photography,” you’ll see that professional photographers choose the rocks and the beach for stunning wedding photos.

The sand itself is luxurious. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy their feet in nice warm sand? And the water can be cool depending on the weather, but it does not stop people from getting in!

There are two sections of beach there, separated by a burm of rocks. One section is smaller than the other, but both are beautiful.

There are picnic tables and shelters for gatherings of up to 75 people each. (If your group has more than 25 people, you’ll need to make a reservation by calling 905-615-4100).

Barbecues are available for use in various places around the park. And there is running water.
