Tansley Woods Park (Burlington) Trail for a Different Adventure
Difficult to navigate and not well maintained, but beautiful and full of birds!
Tansley Woods Park Trail For A Different Adventure
It’s an approximately 3.5km loop trail through a natural wooded area. One unique feature at Tansley Woods Park is Itabashi Bridge, a suspended iron bridge. It was given as a gift to Burlington from its twin city in Japan, called (you guessed it) Itabashi. (Ontario Hiking)
Otherthings you will find there:
Washrooms,
Children’s park,
Japanese garden and
A pickleball court
This trail is in Burlington, south of Upper Middle Rd, just off Itabashi Way. It is very convenient and accessible.
What People Are Saying About it
This trail is not well marked which can be very frustrating and could add extra time to your planned hike.
So if you do embark on this trail, I’d recommend using the AllTrails App to keep you on the correct trail.
The trail can get muddy and is not well maintained. You may find downed trees etc.
However, if you brave these things, you’ll find it’s a beautiful hike with lots of birds.
Where Is It?
So if you’re looking for a new and beautiful trail to hike and you don’t mind the disadvantages of 1) Difficult to navigate and 2) the presence of trees and brush then this may be one you’d be interested in exploring.
