BRONTE CREEK TRAILS!

I was scrolling across the Bronte Creek website and noticed they have several trails with various lengths. But I also found a different and longer (5km) trail called Bronte Creek Provincial Park Loop Trail on AllTrails.com.

Here is what AllTrails has to say about this #1 ranked Best Bronte Creek Provincial Park Trail:

"Enjoy this 5.0-km loop trail near Oakville, Ontario. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 10 min to complete. This trail is great for birding, camping, and hiking. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash."

Half Moon Valley Trail

Note: This trail requires you to walk on the road shared by park vehicles. The Bronte Creek Provincial Park website does not list this trail.

So, if you don’t feel like doing the full 5km, I recommend you check out the Bronte Creek website and check out these choices:

  1. Barrier Free Trail (2.4 km and a section of it is the famous Gnome Road)
  2. Trillium Trail – 1km (best in the spring if you’d like to to see wild flowers)
  3. Logging Trail- 0.6km
  4. Half Moon Valley Trail- 2km
  5. Lookout Ravine Trail – 2.7 km
  6. Maidens Blush Trail – 1km
  7. And Field and Forest Trail/Gateway Trail – 3.5km

Trilliums you'll see on Trillium Trail!

A truly creative gnome village flourishes in the forest on a section of Barrier Free Trail at Bronte Creek.

It’s a great place to bring the kids and take whimsical photos.

I contacted Bronte Creek Provincial Park and confirmed that the trail is still there. You can find signs for this trail behind the Children’s Barn. (See the map above, the yellow trail (1) is Barrier Free Trail)
