Authentic and Delicious Chinese Food

Featuring Pearl Restaurant

As you head into Oakville Place, take a peek at the large Chinese restaurant to the left of the main entrance.

The restaurant looks gorgeous. The tablecloths are white, the chairs are a teal colour, and a sizeable pinkish ceiling feature warmly lights the room. A waiter in a black suit smiles and leads our family across the carpeted floor to our table. Beautiful music in the background adds to the feeling of serenity.

The menu for Pearl was an exotic variety of deliciousness. Things that caught my eye were the tasty dim sum, the peeking duck and the seafood. There is a summer lobster special happening right now, and if there were two of me, I would have ordered that too! As you can probably tell, narrowing down our order was difficult because everything looked so appetizing.

The service was exceptional – the wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. My family ordered our favourite dim sum (shiu mai, har kao, steamed rice in a lotus leaf) and a few interesting-looking dishes we’ve never had, such as the fantastic pan-fried hockey pucks.

Overall, my family loved everything. We had ordered enough for leftovers which tasted just as good the next day. Below are some of my photos. We were so interested in the food, we almost forgot to take pictures which is why the dishes below are partly consumed!

Although online reviews criticize the prices at Pearl Restaurant, I would argue that Pearl is absolutely one of the best Chinese restaurant in Oakville. Let’s face it, most of Oakville’s Chinese restaurants are take-out and delivery. I think Pearl is a wonderful addition to Oakville’s restaurant scene. I highly recommend you try it.
